Unlike a standard retinal photograph that only captures the surface, the OCT uses light waves to capture a high-definition, 3D cross-section of your retina. This allows our senior clinical team—including Dr. Adaeze, Dr Itua, Dr. Adamma and Dr Deborah—to visualize the individual layers of your eye in microscopic detail.

Clinical Excellence: Why We Require OCT

As part of our Unified Clinical Standard, we use OCT to identify the "invisible" beginnings of major eye conditions:

• Advanced Glaucoma Management: We measure the thickness of the Retinal Nerve Fiber Layer (RNFL). Thinning here is the earliest indicator of Glaucoma, often appearing years before you notice any vision loss.
• Diabetic Retinopathy & Edema: OCT allows us to detect fluid leakage and swelling between retinal layers, which is critical for patients managing systemic health conditions.
• Macular Health (AMD): It is the only non-invasive way to accurately distinguish between "Wet" and "Dry" Age-Related Macular Degeneration.
