Restoring Clarity and Color

A cataract is a natural clouding of the eye’s internal lens, often resulting in "foggy" vision, glare at night, or faded colors. At SpecSMART Eye Clinic, we guide you through every step of the journey—from your first diagnosis to the day you see clearly again.

Our Surgical "Co-Management" Model

We believe surgery is only one part of the process. Our Co-Management model offers you continuous care between our clinics and the region’s leading surgeons:

Integrated Vision Refinement

After surgery, your vision often requires a final "refinement" to reach 100% clarity for reading or specialized tasks.

Cataract FAQ

Generally, when cataracts begin to interfere with your daily activities—like driving at night or reading—it is time to consider surgery. We will help you make that decision during your Medical Eye Evaluation.

No, once a cataract is removed, it cannot return. However, some patients develop a "secondary cataract" (cloudy capsule), which we can easily identify during your follow-up. This is treated with a quick laser procedure (YAG) which we can facilitate.
